For several years, this type of mixer has been increasingly used in food-industry packaging departments. A modified atmosphere suitable for food packaging is obtained by mixing the primary gases nitrogen, carbon dioxide and oxygen.
More specifically, the mixture provides:
– Preservation of the products’ original characteristics.
– Extended product shelf life.
– Complete absence of bacteria, thanks to an environment that is difficult to access and unsuitable for colonization and reproduction.
Our MIXFOOD system produces a suitable protective atmosphere directly at the end user’s premises by drawing the primary gases from their respective containers and mixing them in the required proportions. The concentrations of the primary gases can also be adjusted through very simple operations. MIXFOOD is the result of a development project aimed at creating a reliable product that is easy to use and maintain. The system was designed primarily to provide an efficient, practical and cost-effective solution for producing modified atmospheres. These are the main features that distinguish MIXFOOD from conventional mixers.

Mixers for 2 or 3 gases with flow rates from 0 to 300 Nl/min
These mixers operate together with a buffer system and a buffer tank (25, 50 or 100 L), which meets high demand while allowing even very small quantities of gas to be withdrawn without affecting mixture accuracy.
On request, they can be supplied with a pneumatic shut-off device for loss of gas supply.
